Description

A wheat farm that turned into one of Walla Walla’s best estates. The Corkrum family has worked Spring Valley since 1897; the fifth generation planted vines in the early 1990s and made the first wine in 1999. Frederick, named for the family muleskinner who drove the farm’s mule teams before tractors arrived, is the estate’s Cabernet-led Bordeaux blend, rested 19 months in French oak, 40% new. Dusty, savory, structured Washington Cabernet character with a decade ahead of it.
