Petit Siós Blanc comes from Costers del Sió, a winery outside Balaguer in Lleida, deep in Catalonia’s inland DO Costers del Segre. The blend is an aromatic trio of Viognier, Chardonnay, and Muscat Petit Grain, grown organically at 310 meters on stony silt-loam and fermented cold in small stainless steel vats. It is a fresh, floral, unoaked white with real texture. Drink it young and cold. At this price it outruns a lot of tired Albariño.
