Domaine des Lampyres is François-Xavier Dauré, former assistant winemaker at Matassa, now making tiny lots from his family’s old vines around Espira-de-l’Agly in Roussillon. Calentu is 100% Grenache Noir, organically farmed, hand picked, macerated whole cluster for about eight days on native yeasts, then aged in clay amphora and stainless steel and bottled with minimal sulfur. Crunchy, red-fruited natural Grenache that loves a light chill. Jancis Robinson covers this producer for a reason.
