The Hendry family has farmed their ranch just southwest of Napa city since 1939: 203 acres, 117 planted, mapped into 49 separate blocks that are each farmed and vinified on their own. The Barrel Fermented Chardonnay draws on blocks of Old Wente selection and Dijon clones 95 and 96, cropped under two tons per acre, fermented and aged 11 months in one-third new French oak with limited malolactic. Napa Chardonnay built on tension, not butter.
