Julian Haart makes a cuve of Mosel Riesling in the same 1,000 liter fuder that his grandfather used. Amazingly, although the vineyard selection that goes into this cuve could potentially change every year, Julian’s selection is unerringly identical to his grandfather’s! Haart is one of the unsung heroes of German wine, and his close association with Klaus-Peter Keller- they have actually traded vineyards, with Keller receiving the Schubertslay in return- is a firm indication of his status.
