Description

Casa E. di Mirafiore’s Barolo comes from Serralunga d’Alba, where Nebbiolo grows in limestone, grey marl and sandy soil and the estate farms organically (biologico). Grapes are hand-picked and macerate on the skins for 30 to 40 days in stainless steel. Wine Spectator gave the 2020 93 points, pegging its window at 2029 to 2050; James Suckling scored it 92 and called it already attractive. Serious, patient Barolo for someone willing to cellar it, or at least decant hard tonight.
